Become a Landlord

Fort Worth Housing Solutions (FWHS) is recruiting property owners with rental properties in all areas of the City of Fort Worth to participate in the Housing Choice Voucher program.

This program has the same obligations and restrictions as renting under the private, unassisted market. The biggest difference is the HQS inspection requirements and the HUD lease addendum that must be attached to the property owner’s lease.

We are also asking potential landlords to consider our TAKE ONE program. If you have vacant units and have not considered working with the agency in the past, we are asking you to test the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Program or Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing (VASH) program by leasing to just one family or veteran in need of stable housing. The agency has begun this campaign because of the difficulties our families and veterans are having with locating an apartment in Tarrant County because of the tight rental market.

AffordableHousing.com (formerly GoSection8.com) provides property rental listings directly to Public Housing Authorities. Their listings are passed out to thousands of “walk-in” tenants seeking Affordable Housing (formerly Section 8) rental housing daily. Additionally, GOsection8.com maximizes rental listing exposure by allowing properties to be viewed online.

If you are a landlord, list your property or view property listings.
