Employment Services
The agency employs a full-time job developer who provides on-going employment services to the people we serve. The services are designed to help with the transition back into the workforce. We also make an effort to employ and/or provide contract opportunities to participants through the HUD Section 3 program. Residents and voucher-holders are able to participate in job-readiness workshops, quarterly job fairs, resume-writing workshops and job search activities. For more information, please email Workforce Coordinator Dennise Babiche at dbabiche@fwhs.org.

Although the buildings are closed, and we will not be seeing customers in person, our staff will be reaching out in other ways to assist you. We know many of you have questions regarding Unemployment Insurance Benefits. Please visit the Texas Workforce Commission website for information on unemployment benefits as well as necessary documents, including a wage claim form. For our customers who participate in the Texas Workforce Commission subsidized child care program, the Commission has determined that children may accrue absences without impacting ongoing eligibility for services.
