LOCAL RESOURCES DURING COVID-19 PANDEMIC

General Information
United Way’s 2-1-1 hotline, a 24/7 service connecting individuals to the right community organization or government agency. The service is free and confidential.

The City of Fort Worth has a listing of community resources that is frequently updated.  Here are some others:

Tarrant County Department of Human Services for assistance with rent and utilities.
Presbyterian Night Shelter for assistance with housing, food and employment.
SafeHaven of Tarrant County for food, shelter, child care and domestic-violence assistance
City of Fort Worth Community Action Partners: Utility Assistance, CapWorks for tuition assistance and employment-related services, water payment assistance, HVAC repair assistance.

Food Resources
Tarrant Area Food Bank helps individuals and families find a food pantry and meal programs for students out of school.
Meals on Wheels delivers meals to anyone who is homebound and is physically or mentally unable to prepare meals for themselves.
GRACE for food assistance during the COVID-19 pandemic
Fort Worth ISD is providing “Meals-to-Go” for children at several locations. 
The YMCA is providing free meals to families with children under 19 at many of its locations.
IDEA Public Schools is offering free curbside breakfast, lunch and dinner to all children under 18 at all its campuses in Texas.
