Southeast Fort Worth will gain 204 new affordable apartment units when Stallion Ridge completely opens in mid-2021. Its first units are expected to be available for rent at the end of 2020. A gated community, it will be built to LEED certified standards by LDG Development, which also built the nearby Stallion Pointe Apartments.
Affordable proposed rents will range from $558 to $1,472 monthly. Eleven of the units will be market rate and 26 units will be set aside for the Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD) program. Amenities will include an attractive clubhouse, both theater and exercise rooms, a computer lab, community pool, playground, and health and wellness classes. Fort Worth Housing Solutions is developing the property with LDG Development.
Also under construction is a 220-unit apartment community near the VA Center in Southeast Fort Worth. Patriot Pointe is expected to open its first units in June 2020. Proposed rents will range from $846 to $1,309 monthly. The property’s proximity to major thoroughfares and a Trinity Metro bus stop make it very convenient for the workforce. As with all of Fort Worth Housing Solutions’s properties, Patriot Pointe will feature desirable amenities such as an exercise room, clubhouse, community pool and computer lab.
